My Style is On the Inside

I used to have some style. If you call the fashions in the 1980’s “style” lol!

It seems middle age has challenged me when it comes to any sense of style. I dress for comfort over style. I marvel at the amount of middle aged bloggers who blog about clothes etc. I don’t connect… at all. Maybe one day I will stumble across a blogger with affiliated links bragging about their comfortable leggings, palazzo pants, tunics, caftans, and mismatched socks and cotton underwear. I’d click all the links, buy all the things and celebrate with my new found kindred spirits! ha!

But until then….

I focus on what’s on my inside… and a hopefully a beauty that shines through on my face. So, I guess I’m a style blogger for middle aged women in a way. It’s just how I style my life on the inside until I can cultivate a style I can get excited about on the outside.

I do get excited about my monthly beauty box though! I joined Beauty Society as an advisor to get a 60% off coupon (comes in the starter kit when you enroll) for the skin care system I wanted. Then, I subscribed to the Beauty Box and I’ve never had to refill my skin care line (the Beauty Box keeps me well stocked!) and I get to try new products as well! I won’t ever use another skin care regimen. I don’t have to recruit team members. I just enjoy the products!

The February Ageless Style Linkup is talking about Why Kindness Matters for February. I’m new to this fun collaboration. I hope you will check it out! I am enjoying these ladies immensely - they have great advice on style and there may be hope for me yet!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been a witness to a conversation about how people have forgotten how to be kind during the epidemic. If you want to stand out today, it’s not hard. Just be kind.

You never know what someone is going through and how a small act of kindness could be their very lifeline. I clearly remember one of my worst days in my early 20’s when the kindness of a stranger altered my plans for suicide (plans she was not aware of).

It costs nothing to be kind. A comment on a blog post is kind. A smile is kind. Holding the door open for others, also kind.

Combined with my inner wardrobe of love, compassion, and a fierce commitment to champion the underdog, I hope I always wear kindness well in a way that never goes out of style. Our stories are life’s souvenirs and I hope that kindness is always a character that shows up in my stories.

We only have the dash in between our birth date and death date. We must Live the Dash to the fullest! Please check out the Live the Dash 30-Day Challenge with the February Product of the Month coupon code LSFEB2023 (saves you $5).

How do you wear kindness? How has kindness mattered to you? Please comment and share this post - let’s spread the message of kindness far and wide!

I tried to leave a comment but not sure I did. Seems I have to have an account of some sort maybe. Trying again. Just wanted to thank you for linking up with the Ageless Style gals and I . Certainly don't think of myself as a fashionista but the Ageless Style gang puts up with me anyway. Your post is so genuine. I am sure you radiate beauty from inside out.
