Okay, so let’s move into today’s challenge prompt!
Day 2 is Amusement Park in the Live the Dash challenge is Day 6 in the 90 Days with Life Souvenirs journey. I hope that’s not too confusing. Remember, you get an abbreviated portion of the challenge. This scene is from one of my favorite movies, Facing the Giants. What I love most about this vivid illustration is that just like he can't see the end zone in this scenario, we can't see the end zone in our own lives. It could be tomorrow or 20 years from now or at any time. We don't have the luxury of knowing.
In the story of David and Goliath (1 Samuel 17), we can surmise that God created us to take risks in our faith & conquer the giants that paralyze us with fear.

What challenges in our lives have turned us into cowards? What have we run away from?

My Story
This section today is going to be very short. I am behind posting this today because I got bit at some point last week by a brown recluse and the bite made itself known yesterday and last night. I haven’t had much sleep and the powerful meds I’m on have knocked me out. Normally, I share some corresponding backstory. But today - that is my backstory lol! So please pray for a quick recovery. The blessing is that a majority of the venom went to blood stream instead of necrotizing the skin (what makes these bites so famous). The curse is also that the venom got into the blood stream and it’s made me very ill. I’ve been bitten 3x before the year after my dad died. We have the house sprayed every 60 days so I suspect the spider that bit me is a hitchhiker from an Amazon box.
